Hi, folks!
Fedora 42 images for the RISC-V *alternative* architecture are now
available[1]! Please note that RISC-V not yet a Fedora primary
architecture. These *non-official* images are brought to you by the
Fedora RISC-V Community.
This release includes server, cloud, and container images. Among the
server images, in addition to the "host generic" option, there are also
two hardware-specific images: one for the SiFive "HiFive Premier P550"
and another for Milk-V "Megrez". A list of supported and experimental
hardware is available here[2].
Installation instructions for StarFive VisionFive2 are available here[3]
and for HiFive Premier P550 here[4]. The "Fedora-Server-Host-Generic"
and "Fedora-Cloud-Base-Generic" images aren't tied to specific hardware,
so you can test them with emulation software such as QEMU. If you want
to give them a spin, here[5] are the instructions.
Any issues, hit us up on the Fedora RISC-V Matrix channel[6].
